Student Absences
Please inform your instructor directly if you are unable to attend your lesson. If you do not have a contact phone number for your instructor, please request it from the office. When a student cancels a lesson with or without notice, the instructor is not obliged to supply a make-up lesson. An account adjustment will be made at the end of the term for missed lessons only upon written notification from the instructor.
Instructor Absences
When an instructor is absent, every effort will be made to provide a make-up lesson that is suitable to both the student and the instructor. An account adjustment will be made at the end of term if the instructor is unable to teach a make-up lesson and informs the office in writing.
Statutory Holidas and Closures
The Academy offices are closed on statutory holidays. It is the instructor’s responsibility to schedule make-up lessons with their own students if the regular lesson time occurs on a statutory holiday. For the safety of students, instructors and staff the Academy will be closed on bad weather days in accordance with School District #33 closures. Lessons missed due to an Academy closure will be made up if at all possible. There will be no refunds or make-ups for group lessons that are cancelled due to an Academy closure.
Withdrawals and Refunds
- Tuition and fees for the first four scheduled private lessons are non-refundable.
- After the first four scheduled lessons students must give notice of their intention to withdraw to the teacher. At that point the students are charged four (4) more lessons which they may attend if they wish.
- Students withdrawing with fewer than four scheduled lessons remaining will forfeit any refund.
- There are no refunds if students withdraw from a group class once registration has taken place, as their place cannot be filled.
