VOICE
Chilliwack Festival Chorus
This 50-member community choir is open to participants high-school age through adult. No audition is required, just a love for singing! The group has developed a reputation for versatility and fun and regularly participates in local events such as the Lions Music Festival in addition to giving feature concerts in December and May. New members are welcome to join in September and January of each year.
24-Week Classes Over 2 Terms on Mondays, 7 pm

PIANO
Keyboard Club (Yamaha Music Education System)
Keyboard Club is the fun way for adults and seniors to learn more about keyboards. This program for beginners is designed to teach you about today’s electronic keyboards, and to give you basic piano-playing skills.
36-Week Classes on Wednesdays, 5 pm
Classes Start September 12

GUITAR & UKULELE
Adult Group Guitar
This group class is geared to adults wishing to learn the basic technique of guitar playing. Literally hundreds of songs use a basic series of chords, which are taught over 6 sessions. Ideal as a precursor to private lessons, a planned activity for a group of friends, or a refresher after having not played in many years.
6-Week Classes on Wednesdays, 8 pm
Classes Start October 3, January 9, February 27 and April 24
Cost: $105.
Ukulele Levels 1 & 2
Uke club is more than a music class – it’s happiness unleashed! It is impossible to play the ukulele with a frown. Bring your own instrument, or borrow one of ours.
LEVEL 1
Just the basics, over four classes: tuning, chords, basic strumming, finger-picking, and preliminary songs are learned. Students feel a sense of accomplishment as they play in harmony with colleagues, develop dexterity in changing chords, and singing while playing.
4-Week Classes on Wednesdays, 7 pm
Classes Start October 10, January 23 and April 3
Cost: $68, includes materials.
LEVEL 2
For those having completed level 1 or who already have a preliminary knowledge of the instrument. A repertoire is developed as each students’ songbook grows, and more advanced chords and strumming patterns are introduced. The aim of the course is to hone the group’s ability to play together with confidence, artistry and enjoyment.
4-Week Classes on Wednesdays, 7 pm
Cost: $64, plus materials (TBA).
UKE CLUB 3.0
For those whose love for the ukulele surpasses 8 weeks of lessons: Uke Club 3.0 will meets at Decades Coffee Club for a self-directed jam session. Bring your instrument and your songbook from Uke Level 2 and get ready to strum, sing and learn with friends. Don’t forget your smile!
Meets the first and third Wednesday, September to June, at Decades Coffee Club (45846 Wellington)

Cost: $5 drop-in fee per class. 6-class punch cards available for purchase on-site.
