Since 1979, the Chilliwack Academy of Music has offered high quality music instruction, fostered interest and participation in music, and provided community initiatives and outreach programs. You can help the Academy continue making a positive impact on the community by leaving bequests to the Chilliwack Academy of Music Endowment Fund.
What is an endowment fund?
An endowment fund is the investment of capital to provide permanent and ongoing income for an organization to use for programs and operations.
Where does my gift go?
The Chilliwack Foundation manages endowment funds on behalf of local charities. The Academy is actively seeking to raise the $20,000 necessary to open one with the Chilliwack Foundation. Your gift will be kept by the Chilliwack Academy of Music until such time as enough funds are raised to open an endowment. At that time, all planned giving received will be transfered to the Chilliwack Foundation who will manage the endowment on behalf of the Academy of Music.
What kinds of bequest can I make?
You may give in one of the following ways:
- A bequest in your will
- Donation of a life insurance policy
What are the benefits of donating to the Chilliwack Academy of Music Endowment Fund?
You are able to make a contribution that will benefit the Academy in perpetuity as only the interest that the endowment fund generates can be used for programs and operations.
Do I get a tax receipt for my gift?
Yes, and tax receipts are issued at the time the gift is received by the Chilliwack Academy of Music.
