In addition to general donations, the Board of Trustees of the Chilliwack Academy of Music has approved the following funds to which gifts can be designated:
Endowment Fund
Help the Academy create a long-term, positive impact on the community by donating to the Endowment Fund. This fund provides permanent and ongoing investment income to be used for programs and operations. Gifts collected will be managed by the Chilliwack Foundation on behalf of the Academy, once the initial $20,000 to open a fund with the Chilliwack Foundation is raised.
Scholarship Fund
Funds raised are invested and the interest is awarded to deserving students to help cover the cost of tuition. Interested students compete for ability-based scholarships and the recipients perform at our public Student Honours Concert near the end of the school year.
Musical Equipment Fund
In addition to acquiring 7 new grand pianos and one drum set for our relocation in 2010, the Academy has continual need to update its musical equipment. Instrument sponsorship or donations-in-kind are greatly appreciated and will receive due recognition!
