The Academy relies on its volunteers in order to deliver the best experience for its students and for members of the community at large. You can help in the following areas:
Events
At concerts, trade shows and other events, you can greet guests and inquirers and help direct them to the information they seek, as needed. Event volunteers have offered their time as greeters, ushers, ticket sellers, servers, stage hands, display booth agents and decorators. Great for those who love to meet people!
Posters
You can help deliver posters or other publicity materials, with the aid of our detailed distribution list. Ideal for those who are task-oriented and prefer to work behind the scenes.
Committees
You can be involved in the planning of our events, such as the gala fundraiser (“Faculty Concert”), the English Cream Tea and the Burger ‘n’ Brew. Great for those who have lots of ideas or have the gift of event planning!
Board of Trustees
The highest calling for volunteers at the Academy of Music. As a charity, we rely on volunteers to participate as Board members, and depend on them to oversee the direction of the organization. As a team of 7-10 people, commitment level is dispersed, though at times it can be moderate or high. If you feel you have professional skills that could contribute to the development of the Academy, consider serving as a Board member.
